(This is because Life [the Self-existent - the Son of man] was made visible. We saw Him — bore witness — and have shown to you that Eternal Life [the Self-existent - the Son of man] who was with the Self-existent, was hand symbolthe One unveiled to us.)

We write this to you so that your joy may be full.

5

hand symbolThis is the message which we have heard from Him [from Life – Jesus] and, are passing on to you: God [the Self-existent] is light — no darkness in Him at all.

6

If while we are living inside darkness and we profess to have fellowship with Him [with the Father], we are lying — we are not being truthful.

7

But, if we live in the light that He [the Self-existent] Himself is, we and the Father are in fellowship, and the blood of Jesus the Anointed, His Son, cleanses us from all sin.

8

To profess that “We have no sin,” we deceive ourselves — we are not being truthful.

9

If we confess our sins, He is trustworthy and just to forgive us our sins and to rid us of all iniquities.

10

If we say, “We have not sinned,” we do not only make Him a liar, His word is not within us.
