INTRODUCTION TO JOB

The second of the two books incorporated into the Book of the History of Adam by Ezra which do not carry superscription, the Book of Job was written by Ezekiel to allegorize the past, the present and the future of Israel; it is one of many allegories written by Ezekiel to depict Israel. It was put behind the piece titled Ezekiel as an addendum to his prophecies. Other allegories in the book named after him are Ezekiel 16, 17, 19 and 23. Job 38:1 and 40:6 which say that the Self-existent [the Holy Spirit] spoke from “the whirlwind” directly connects the book to Ezekiel 1:4 (KJV) which reveals the Self-existent [the Holy Spirit] moving in a whirlwind. It is also noteworthy that in all the books of the prophets, the Hebrew word, “Shadday,” translated to “Almighty,” found sixteen times in Job is found more than one time only in Ezekiel (two times), and that the word “El” translated to “God” is used for “mighty” only in Job and Ezekiel (Ezek. 31:11 and Job 41:25). Here are 30 points that need to be noted about Job:

1) The land of Uz (Jer. 25:20; Lam. 4:21) is surreptitiously revealed as the land God gave to these acquaintances – Moab, Ammon, Edom and Israel (Deut. 2:5, 9 & 19; Gen. 15:16-21). The land had been named after one of the children of Aram, the forefather of the Arameans, the original occupier of the land (Gen. 10:23; 1 Chr. 1:17). The nation of Syria, the remnants of the original occupier, Aram, then settled beside Ammon. The land of Canaan, given to Abraham, therefore fell within the land of Uz, and the occupiers of the land of Uz became Edom, Moab, Ammon and Israel. (Lam. 4:21 reveals that Edom was one of the occupiers.) That means Israel occupied the land of Canaan; Edom, Moab, Ammon, and Israel occupied the land of Uz. The three friends/brethren (Job. 6:15) of Job – Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite (Job. 2:11) are descendants of Edom, Moab, and Ammon respectively – Gen. 36:2-43; 19:38. They were the friends/brethren of Israel who attacked Israel – 2 Chr. 20:10, 22 and 23; Ps. 137:7; Jer. 9:26; 40:11; Oba. 10-14. Therefore, they represent Edom, Moab, and Ammon. Edom was the country of the descendants of Esau, the twin brother of Jacob; Moab, the country of the descendants of Lot, the nephew of Abraham, grandfather of Jacob, through his eldest daughter; and Ammon, the country of the descendants of Lot through his younger daughter.

2) If the three friends came from Edom, Moab, and Ammon, and they, with Israel, occupied the land of Uz, then Job would represent Israel.

3) Job is surreptitiously shown as Israel, in that, of the four, he, only, mentioned the Self-existent (Job. 12:9) and the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit – the Emissary of the Self-existent - Job 28:28 - the two identifiers of the God of Israel revealed first to Moses in Egypt.

4) The Hebrew word translated to Job, “Îyôwb” which means “Hated” or “Persecuted,” surreptitiously reveals Job as Israel. It perfectly describes what Israel went through during the days of her captivity summarized in the persecution and hatred of Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego and Daniel in Babylon, and that of Mordecai and all Jews of the days of Ahasuerus. Nothing could have called for the word if the piece was written anytime before Israel’s captivity.

5) The words, “Captives” (Job 3:18), “Oppressor” (Job 3:18) and “Captivity” (Job 42:10), reveal the book of Job as an allegory: They surreptitiously reveal what Israel went through under Assyria and Babylon. Nothing could have called for these either if the piece was written anytime before Israel’s captivity.

6) Job, “perfect and upright” (Job 1:1): There was no perfect and upright individual apart from all in the lineage of Adam who we have in Gen. 5 and from Abraham to Israel. No one with the name in the lineage (the Hebrew word for the “Job” in Gen. 46:13 is not translatable to “Hated” or “Persecuted”). Israel was the only one according to Numbers 23:21 and Jer. 2:3. If there was, God would not be unfair to have wiped out his generation – Gen. 18:25; Ps. 112:2 and 6. God declared unequivocally that He knew only Israel – Amos 3:1-2. Uprightness is only attainable through the God of Israel, Melchizedek, the Self-existent [the Holy Spirit], the Enabler of uprightness – Heb. 7:1-3. For one to be said to be upright and not have become so through the Self-existent [the Holy Spirit] is like someone claiming to be holy today, without being washed with the blood of Jesus by the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit.

7) Job’s family was a family of twelve (Job 1:3): Job, his wife, seven sons and three daughters. These represent the twelve tribes of Israel, divided to three – Judah and Benjamin being Job and his wife; Ephraim, Issachar, Naphtali, Asher, Simeon, Zebulun and Dan, being the seven tribes west of the Jordan, and Reuben, Gad and Manasseh, being the three tribes east of the Jordan.

8) Job was the greatest (Job 1:3) and the king (Job 29:25) in the east: Israel was the greatest (Ezra. 4:20) and, still, the greatest as well as the king in the east (Rev. 16:12).

9) Job offered burnt offering (Job 1:5): Burnt offering was peculiar to Israel. Israel is the only people God prescribed burnt offering for as one of the offerings to be made to Him.

10) “The people of God” (Job 1:6): There were no people of God except Israel – Ex. 5:1; 7:16; 8:1, 8, 20 & 21; 9:1, 13 & 17; 10:3, 4; Ezek. 38:14 & 45:9.

11) Gathering before the Self-existent (Job 1:6) – There is no such thing as assembly days in heaven – it is in Israel that there are assembly days: The seniors, the living creatures and celestial-messengers (Rev. 4) are before God in heaven always. The city of the Peaceful [the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit] - Jerusalem - was the place people of God gathered for the weekly sacred days (Sabbaths), the monthly sacred days (New Moons), the Annual Feast of Passover, Feast of Pentecost, Feast of Booths, and Day of Atonement.

12) Satan can never, I mean, never, enter heaven to stand before the One on the throne – the Self-existent – (Rev. 4); he is on earth: The farthest he can get to is the assembly of God’s children on earth. Will he pass through the elders, the living creatures and the celestial-messengers to go before God [the Self-existent]? Impossible. He cannot enter heaven! If he entered heaven,

a) heaven would no longer be holy!

b) there is nothing to assure us that he will not enter again when we get there, if he came two times and had free access.

The Bible, using Satan figuratively for the king of Babylon, reveals that Satan fell from the sky (Isaiah 14:12) because he thought in his heart to ascend to heaven (Isaiah 14:13-14), meaning that he never entered heaven; he only imagined it. (That he was in the sky is clearly shown in that he wished to exalt his throne above that of the Chief Captain or the Prince from God [the Self-existent] and sit [reign] over the city of solemn assemblies (the city of the Peaceful [the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit] - Jerusalem), towards the northern kingdom (Israel) — Isaiah 14:13. The Bible reveals that the throne of the Self-existent [the Holy Spirit], the Prince of Israel or the great Prince who stands for Israel — Daniel 10:21 and 12:1 — is in the sky — Ps. 11:4; 68:34 — and that He reigns over the city of the Peaceful [the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit] - Jerusalem - called the city of God, and that Judah is His country, called the country of His Holiness (the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit) and Zion; and also that His residence, the city of the Peaceful [the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit] - Jerusalem - is located towards Israel, the northern kingdom — Ps. 48:1-2.

13) The Sabeans, said to be a people afar off (Joel 3:8), can only be taken to represent Assyria, as Assyria was well over 800 miles away from Israel; since their attack was followed by the Chaldeans’ (Babylonians’), and since only a world ruler or super power could bypass countries to attack another country (Assyria deported the people of Israel, the northern kingdom first, later Babylon carried the people of Judah, the Southern kingdom captive). That the Sabeans were to be made to serve Israel as the Egyptians who maltreated Israel makes it clear that they stood for Assyria who also maltreated them – Is. 45:14.

14) That the Chaldeans (Babylonians) came to Judah three times – 2 Kings 25; 2 Chronicles 35-36 and Jeremiah 52:4-7 - the Chaldeans’ three bands can be taken to represent them. (Read Job 1:16-18). Ancient Babylon to the land of Uz was nothing less than 1,500 miles. Only a world ruler could bypass countries to attack another country.

15) Job becoming naked refers to the desolation of Israel and Judah after they were deported – Job 1:21; Is. 1:7; Jer. 4:7; Lam. 1:8; Ezek. 6:4; Hosea 5:9; Joel 2:3.

16) Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite (Job 32:2) represents Jesus or the church.

17) Elihu being younger (Job. 32:6) than the four tells that the church, the holy nation, is relatively younger than the four nations.

18) That Elihu was not rebuked tells that the church will not be made to answer for any chastisement against Israel.

19) The anger of God against Job’s three friends represents God’s judgment on Edom, Moab and Ammon – Job 42:7; Is. 11:14; 15; 16; 25:10, 15 and 16; 34:5-17; Jer. 48 and 49; Ezek. 25:8-9; Joel 3:19; Amos 1 and 2; Oba. 1 and 8 and Zeph. 2:8-9 with Mal. 1:4.

20) The acceptance or forgiveness of Job’s three friends stand for the forgiveness of Edom, Moab and Ammon – Job 42:11; 42:9; Isa. 11:14; Daniel 11:41.

21) The turning of Job’s captivity represents the restoration of Israel in future – Job 42:10; Is. 66; Ezek. 36 and 37; 40-48; Zech. 14.

22) Job having twice what he had tells about the greatness of Israel during the millennial reign – Job 42:10; Is. 61:7; Zech. 9:12.

23) Job’s brothers, sisters and acquaintances refer to the non-Israelites who would be converted to Jew during the Millennial – Job 42:11; Zech. 8:23.

24) Job’s regaining his seven sons and three daughters means that Israel will become united again at the millennial reign – Job, his wife, seven sons, and three daughters – Job 42:13; Ezek. 48. Job and his wife representing Judah and Benjamin; the seven sons representing the seven tribes in the northern kingdom, west of the Jordan; and the three daughters representing the three tribes in the northern kingdom, east of the Jordan (Ezek. 48).

25) The names of the three daughters of Job after the captivity (Job. 42:14) stand for Israel’s new names and status at the millennial reign – Hephzibah, Beulah (Is. 62:2-4) and “the Self-existent is there” (Ezek. 48:35).

26) Job’s one hundred and forty years stay after the captivity refers to lifespan during the millennial reign – Job 42:16; Is. 65:20 (Realize that average lifespan was seventy during the days of the Psalmist of Ps. 90:10. That means double – Zec. 9:12).

27) “Gold from Ophir” (Job 22:24; 28:6) came to limelight during the reign of David upward (1 Chr. 29:4; 2 Chr. 8:18; 9:10; Ps. 45:9; Is. 13:12; Jer. 10:9 and Daniel 10:5). This, couple with the reference to the words, “captive” (Job 3:18) and “captivity” (Job 42:10) agrees with the discovery in Jewish Study Bible p. 1502 and puts the time of writing at during or after Israel’s captivity.

28) Job, the servant of the Self-existent (Job 1:8; 2:3; 42:7 and 8): Interestingly, before, during and after the captivity, even up to the Final Testament, Israel was the only one known as, and called, the servant of the Self-existent – Is. 44:1,2,21 and 26; 48:20; Jer. 2:14; 46:27 and 28; Ezek. 28:25; 37:25; Rev. 7:3.

29) Offering burnt sacrifice after a round of banqueting means offering burnt offerings annually, and speaks of the annual offerings of Israel – the day of atonement (Lev. 16).

30) That it was Job’s regular practice means Israel had been doing so, long before the piece was written.

31) That the three friends of Job – Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite – are descendants of Esau the brother of Jacob, grandson of Abraham; Moab son of Lot, the nephew of Abraham, through his elder daughter; and Ammon son of Lot, the nephew of Abraham, through his younger daughter, respectively, and that these three were the closest neighbors of Israel, make the piece titled Job an allegory and makes Job to represent Israel.

DEMYSTIFYING ELIHU (To demystify Job, one must first demystify Elihu):

The piece reveals one young man, who was not shown as one of Job’s friends and was not initially shown to be present at the beginning of the conversation, coming out of the blues, whose speech silenced the four “very old” – aged – men (Job, Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar) – Job 32:2-15, claiming to be God’s mouthpiece and to be perfect in knowledge (Job 33:3; 36:4) and, at the same time, accusing Job, a “very old” man, of speaking without knowledge (Job 34:35; 35:36), and Job’s three friends, “very old” men, as unwise (Job 32:7-12). He is said to be the son of Barachel, and a Buzite, and of the kindred of Ram. Who can Elihu be? Who or what was Buzi? Who was Barachel? Who was Ram? To get to know Elihu, one needs to realize that,

1) The proper way to identify Him is, “Elihu, the Buzite, the son of Barachel, of the kindred of Ram.

2) The Hebrew word translated to Elihu is “Eliyhuw” which means “God of him.”

3) The Hebrew word, “Buziy,” translated to “Buzite” is from the root word, “Buz,” which means “disrespect: contempt, despised or shamed.”

4) The Hebrew word, “mishpachah,” translated to “kindred,” may mean, figuratively, “a class (of persons),” “a species (of animals)” or “a sort (of things).”

5) The Hebrew word, “ram,” means “high” or “lifted up.”

6) The Hebrew word, “barachel,” means “God the blessed” or “Blessed God.”

7) He is better identified as “the God of him,” the despised, of the class of the lifted up.

8) The name, “Barachel,” is found only here in the Bible as the name, “Buz,” is found only twice – for Ezekiel and for Him.

9) He claims to be perfect in knowledge (Job 36:4) and also reveals that God is the only One who is perfect in knowledge (Job 37:6), yet He accused Job, a “very old” man, and the most upright man in the east, as lacking in knowledge (Job 34:35; 35:7), and Job’s three friends, “very old” men, as unwise (Job 32:7-9).

10) He got angry with Job’s three friends (Job 32:2-3) as the Self-existent got angry with them – Job 42:7.

11) The Self-existent rebuked Job (Job 38:2 – 39:30) and his friends (Job 42:8) but He did not rebuke Him.

12) He dared to ask Job, a “very old” man to stand up (Job 33:5).

13) After Him, none of the three friends dared to speak again.

14) His speech (Job 32:1 – 37:24) was followed by that of the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit [Job 38:1 – 40:2] before the Self-existent finally rounded off – Job 40:6 – 42:34.

Who can Elihu be – a man whose name translates to “God of him, i.e. God of Job,” “the Despised,” “the Son of the Blessed God,” of the class of the exalted Ones? (The “class of the exalted Ones” refers to the Self-existent [the Holy Spirit] and the Self-existent [the Son of man] – Is. 33:5; 57:15; Acts 2:33; 5:31; Phil. 2:9.) Of course, He is Jesus (Is. 9:6; 53:1-12). That God rebuked Job whom He Himself declared to be upright, and his three friends, but did not rebuke Elihu, a young man, who spoke so sharply against an elderly person despite that he claimed to be perfect in knowledge, proves beyond reasonable doubt that He is God.

The book comes next in the arrangement and became the eighteenth volume of the Book of the History of Adam by Ezra, called “A Register of the History of Them Which Came Up at the First” by Nehemiah (Neh. 7:5 - KJV) – the Hebrew word translated to “Register” is also translatable to “Book,” and the word translated to “Genealogy” translatable to “History” - called, in the Final Testament, the Prophets (Matt. 5:17) or the Book of the Prophets (Acts 7:42) being abridged form of “the Book Containing the Writings of the Prophets” or “the Book Containing the Writings of Prophet Esaias.” As “Moses,” “the Law,” “the Book of Moses” or “the Book of the Law of Moses” each, is an abridged form of the Book Containing the Law of Moses, being the Book of the History of Adam by Nehemiah, “Esaias,” “the Book of the Words of Esaias the Prophet” (Luke 3:4) or “the Book of the Prophet, Esaias” (Luke 4:17) refers to the Book of the History of Adam by Ezra. Each is an abridged form of “the Book Containing the Writings of Prophet Isaiah.” (The introduction/superscription, being in the third-person pronoun, and the succeeding verses being in first-person, is an undeniable proof that the piece was incorporated into the literary work.) The Book Containing the Writings of the Prophets is the first of the three First Testament books revealed in the Final Testament, the remaining two being the Book Containing the Law of Moses, and the Psalms (Luke 24:44).

One should wonder – why was no mention made of the country of origin of the characters except the Chaldeans, their captors? God is all-wise. He wanted Israel to have it on record that He was going to restore her, even while they were still under the dominion of their captors, but He would not want the captors – the Chaldeans – to get a clue of His plan. Accordingly, He coded the prophecy for them, just as He did for Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 2) and Daniel (Daniel 10-12). If He gave them in clear language and their captors, by any chance, came across it, it might not augur well for them. It was for the same reason He directed that the clear prophecy He gave about Babylon through Jeremiah be thrown into the sea (Jer. 50-51).

Evidence of Unity/Continuity:

The fact that events from 1 Chronicles to Daniel were written in third-person pronoun, and the writings or prophecies there incorporated with superscription, and that Ezra 8:15 to 9:15 was written in first-person, makes it clear that Ezra was responsible for the first twenty volumes of the book, up to Ezra chapter 9, and makes the last chapter of Ezra and the last three volumes, which are post-captivity, or, most likely, post-Ezra events all through, an addition to the twenty volumes, in that Haggai was written in the first-person pronoun, Zechariah’s writings were incorporated with superscription (Zech. 1:1) and Malachi which is all prophecy by God [the Self-existent], was incorporated with a superscription. The writer’s first signature in any book is the first-person pronoun. Added to these is the fact that the Final Testament reveals that the First Testament contains only three books (Matt. 7:12; Mark 1:2; Luke 24:44; Acts 7:42), making it mandatory that all the books of the First Testament be grouped into three, and making this book, the Book Containing the Writings of the Prophets, one of them, others being the Book Containing the Laws of Moses by Nehemiah, and the Psalms. Any grouping different from this cannot be taken as authentic, and is definitely, unscriptural.

Evidence of Time of Writing:

The presence of the identifier of Israel’s God, “the Self-existent” (YHWH) means that the book was not written before Moses, in that the identifier was unveiled to Moses just about the time Israel was to leave Egypt (Exod. 6:1-3). That “gold of Ophir” is found there means that it was not written before the time of David. That “captive” and “captivity” are found there means the book was not written until during or after the captivities.

Having removed all ambiguities from it, for faster assimilation, it is advisable that the entire book be read at a stretch, or at least, within a day, not piecemeal. As the Bible is now available handy - in all communication devices – reading it one or two chapters at a time should now be outdated. With WET, any of the books becomes easy to read at a stretch. In reality, God did not intend that the Bible be read piecemeal.

Note:

Discovering that the teaching about the Trinity which every believer is keen to know more about is made clear in almost all the books of the Bible, and seeing that the gospel ambassadors (apostles - KJV) were deliberate in propagating it as it is evident in the phrase, “God the Father,” employed by all of them who wrote letters (Rom. 15:6; Gal. 1:1 & 3; 2 Tim. 1:2; Jas 1:27; 3:9; 1 Pet. 1:2, 17; 2 John 1:3; Jude 1:1) based on the knowledge our Sovereign Master, Jesus, passed down to them, WET has chosen to use parentheses to reveal each of the members of the Godhead, and color to distinguish the words of each of them, from Genesis to Revelation: Diamond blue for the words of the Self-existent, the Invisible; red for the words of Jesus, the Self-existent, the Son of man; and Green for the words of the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit. Besides, for clarity, many other difficult or obscure words, terms, names and places in the Bible requiring clarification are explained, either in parentheses or with a note underneath. A pen-writer sign is put beside each of these words, terms, names and places to draw readers’ attention to it. Also, it is important that readers be aware that many of our regular Bible translations retain many Hebrew or Greek words due to inability to think out accurate English words for them, as in the cases of YHWH, JAH and Adonai. Such words as “Adam,” “Eden,” “Sabbath,” “Jezreel,” “Mahershalalhashbaz,” “Azazel,” “Angel,” “Seraphim,” “Cherub,” “Maroth,” and “Messiah” in the First Testament, and “Angel,” “Baptist,” “Baptism,” “Baptizer,” “Christ,” “Decapolis,” “Tetrarch,” “Legion,” “Apostle,” “Evangelist,” “Deacon,” “Synagogue,” “Proselyte,” “Paradise,” “Alpha,” “Omega,” and “Presbytery” in the Final, have also been given the best English translations in WET.

Apart from the fact that the presence of Hebrew and Greek loanwords in an English translation is a shortcoming on the part of all the translators, their failure to think out appropriate English words for them has wrecked a great havoc on the church, leading to inadequate understanding of the Bible and the God of the Bible, and causing unnecessary doctrinal differences. In fact, with so many untranslated words, the best English translation on ground is not qualified to be called English translation; it is better taken as partial English translation – and every rational mind knows that the best anyone can get from a partial translation is partial understanding. Since men have continued to improve on Bible translations in order to make the word of God more understandable, it is our belief that God has brought WET about to enhance better understanding of His word.

While we must commend the efforts of the fathers in faith to break the books into chapters and verses, it is noteworthy that, by that, they also succeeded in fractionizing many of the passages, making it difficult for readers to follow some narratives to the end. Accordingly, in WET, all such messages or chapters are merged for easy reading and faster assimilation.

I enjoin you to relax and enjoy the eighteenth volume of the second of the three books of the First Testament, in the most readable and seamless translation of the Bible, inspired by the best Writer, in the whole world.

SALIENT POINTS

The following salient points reveal that the book could be written only by revelation or through vision, not by an historian:

i) To see and hear what took place between the Self-existent and Satan when the people of God [the Self-existent] gathered together, the reporter must be a spirit; not only in the spirit – Job 1:6-12; 2:1-6.

ii) To know where the children and servants of Job were at the time of the incidents, and be present with Job to hear the reports of the four servants (Job 1:13-19), the reporter must be a spirit, not only in the spirit.

iii) To watch Job get up, tear his robe, shave his head and fall to the ground in worship, and hear all that Job said (Job 1:20-21), the reporter must be a spirit; not only in the spirit!

iv) To be present with Job, witness the second conversation between the Self-existent and Satan (Job 2:1-6); the conversation between Job and his wife (Job 2:9); the arrival of the three friends (Job 2:12-13); the response of Job (Job 3) and the lengthy conversation between them (Job 4 to 31:4), and the opinion of Elihu, the young stranger (Job 32-37), the reporter must be a spirit; not only in the spirit!

v) To still be present with Job and hear the lengthy response of the Self-existent (Job 38-41), and put it down word for word, the reporter must be a spirit; not only in the spirit!

vi) To still be present, watch and hear the Self-existent rebuke Job’s three friends, watch the three friends offer burnt offerings, watch Job praying for his three friends and know that the Self-existent accepted them (Job 42:7-10), the reporter must be a spirit; not in the spirit!

vii) To still be present to witness the brothers, sisters and acquaintances of Job come to dine with Job, the reporter must be a spirit; not only in the spirit!

viii) To witness Job and his wife begin to bear children again until they had ten children, gather properties again until they had so much, and witness Job live double the age he had lived, the reporter must be a spirit; not only in the spirit!

ix) To record all that Job, Eliphaz, Bildad, Zophar, Elihu and God spoke (Job 3 to 42), without a tape recorder, the reporter must be a spirit – not only in the spirit. They could not have waited for him to finish recording every sentence before they continued.

PROOFS THAT THE BOOK OF JOB IS AN ALLEGORY DEPICTING ISRAEL

· The land of Uz, according to the Bible, has Edom as one of its occupiers – Lam. 4:21.

· The land of Uz is, according to the Bible, bordered by the land of the Philistines, Askelon, Gaza, Ekron and Ashdod (Jer. 25:20-21; 47:5; Amos 1:8; Zeph. 2:4; 2:7; Zech. 9:5).

· Edom, where Eliphaz came from; Moab, where Bildad came from; and Ammon, where Zophar came from, were neighbors of Israel in biblical days.

· If the land of Uz is bordered by the land of the Philistines, Askelon, Gaza, Ekron and Ashdod, and Edom is one of the occupiers of the land of Uz, then Edom, where Eliphaz came from; Moab, where Bildad came from; and Ammon, where Zophar came from, who were neighbors of Edom, must be the occupiers of the land of Uz.

· Uz was a son of Aram, the progenitor of the Arameans, the Syrians, who shared boundary with the Ammonites in Bible days.

· If God gave Edom, Moab, and Ammon their lands (Deut. 2:5, 9 & 19) as He gave Israel the land of Canaan (Gen. 15:16-21; Ex. 23:28-31; Num. 21:32), that goes to say that the Arameans were the original occupiers of the land and that they were driven out by Him for the children of Edom, Moab and Ammon to possess the lands, just as He did for Israel, driving out the Canaanites for them; and the Arameans had to settle in the left-over land beside them. In effect, the lands of Edom, Moab, and Ammon were originally part of the land of Uz.

· Since Job was not an Edomite, a Moabite, or an Ammonite, and he was said to be from the land of Uz; and seeing that he mentioned the two identifiers of the God of Israel – the Self-existent, and the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit – then Job stood for Israel, the only remaining nation who shared borders with Edom, Moab and Ammon.

· Moab was bordered by Edom. The kingdom was situated between Ammon in the north, Edom in the south, the wilderness in the east and the Dead Sea in the west. Ammon occupied the east of the Jordan River, between the torrent valleys of Arnon and Jabbok, in the present-day Jordan. Edom bordered Israel in what is now southwestern Jordan, between the Dead Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba.

· That being the case, Israel is among the occupiers of the land of Uz. It took Ezra and the caravan he was traveling with, four months to traverse the nearly 900 miles (1, 448 Km) from Babylon to the city of the Peaceful [the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit] - Jerusalem.

· The three friends of Job (Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar) are descendants of Jacob’s acquaintances – Edom, Moab and Ammon - and so, they represent Edom, Moab and Ammon, the neighbors of Israel.

· Job, being the only one who made mention of the identifiers of the God of Israel – the Self-existent, and the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit – in his responses (Job 12:9; 28:28), the greatest in the east (Job 1:3), having a family of twelve (Job, wife, 7 sons and 3 daughters), perfect, upright, one who feared God and hated evil (Job 1:11), one who offered burnt offerings (Job 1:5), and a servant of the Self-existent (Job 1:8; 2:3; 42:7 & 8), is covertly revealed as Israel.

· There was no way to get the information about Job’s condition to the three friends and for the three friends to get across to one another to fix appointment and arrive at Job’s place at the fixed time.

· Elihu who came from nowhere and claimed to be God’s mouthpiece (Job 36:2) and perfect in knowledge – omniscient (Job 36:4) - even as God (Job 37:16), cannot be a human being. That human mouthpiece of God, perfect in knowledge like God, can be no other but Jesus.

· That the two historians who wrote the only available histories of Israel, Ezra and Nehemiah, did not show that there was any human being in the lineage of Adam bearing Job (the Hebrew word for the “Job” in Gen. 46:13 is not Îyôwb.) means that Job was not an historical personality.

· It is unthinkable for two nations from a very far distance, to bypass many nations, and come against the herds of an individual (If Job is taken to be a historical figure, it means that a nation – the Sabeans – came for the oxen and the donkeys of an individual, carried away the herd of oxen and donkeys and killed the herders; lightning struck the herd of sheep of the same individual, and the herders and the sheep were burnt; another nation – Chaldeans – came for the herd of camels, carried away the camels and struck down the herders; and a powerful wind pulled down the house where the young people were – all within a period of twelve hours.) Two separate nations to travel over 900 miles, taking not less than four months, to come and fight an individual in his own nation and go back with the individual’s cattle, without taking the individual along and without touching other people in the nation, not even the king of the nation!

· Why were the countries of the five main characters in the book – Job, Eliphaz, Bildad, Zophar and Elihu - concealed? To be history, the characters’ pedigree must be distinguishable! Whoever wrote a history book and hid the countries of the characters?

· Would five people from five different countries, speaking different languages, be able to communicate effectively without five interpreters? Who were their interpreters? Which of the languages did God use to address all of them?

· What did Job say (chapter 3) that warranted all that Eliphaz said (chapters 4 & 5)?

· What did Job say (chapters 6 and 7) that warranted the response of Bildad (chapter 8)? Did Job not close his last speech with a plea for forgiveness (Job 7:20-21)?

· Why were the friends taking turns to respond? If Job responded to Eliphaz’s remarks (chapters 4 & 5), why would Eliphaz keep quiet and then Bildad would be the one to talk?

· Where, in the conversation, did Job say that his teaching is sound (Job 11)? (Read chapters 3, 6)?

· What did Job say (chapters 12-14) that warranted all of Eliphaz’s response (Job 15)? Did Job direct his speech to Eliphaz only, for Eliphaz to say that he condemned him (Job 15:6)?

· Who was older than Job’s father among the other two – Bildad and Zophar? Does one make friend with someone older than his father?

· Where did Job, in his response, insult Zophar directly (Job 20:3)? What could be taken as insult in all that Job said in Job 19?

· Why did Eliphaz say that they had men older than Job’s father while Job said they were men younger than him (Job 30:1)?

· Why would their sisters not know their brethren’s birthday? Did they need to send for them?

· What of the sisters – didn’t they also have birthdays?

· Where, in Job’s previous conversation, did he say “What does God know? Can He judge through thick darkness? Clouds veil Him so that He cannot see, as He walks on the circle of the sky” (Job 22:13-14)?

· Where do we place Bildad’s response (Job 25)? Did he buttress what Job said or counteract it?

· What did Bildad say that warranted Job’s lengthy response (Job 26-31)?

· Before the sons could build houses and hold parties, they must all be matured, why was none of the children married - both the seven before the tragedy and the seven after the tragedy? Even those beautiful daughters – Jemimah, Keziah and Keren-happuch?

· Why did none of the children have babies?

· Why were no wife or children of the sons in the birthday parties? What about male/female neighbors and neighbors’ children? A party without an outsider! No friends! No fiancées! No fiancés!

· Where was Job’s wife when the three friends were accusing Job? Would a woman who was so sure of the integrity of her husband ever hear such false accusation against her husband and not drive the friends away?

· Where were other servants of Job whom he talked about in Job 31:13? Would they be listening to some people accusing their master wrongly and keep quiet? Wouldn’t they drive them out?

· How would a wife who had had ten children for somebody suggest to her husband to commit suicide, soon after such tragedy befell her husband? Not even a witch would do that so quickly!

· How would the three friends sit down for one whole week without talking? If they did not talk, they would not eat!

· Where were Job’s brothers, sisters and acquaintances (Job 42:11) all the time he was struck with the tragedy? Should they not be there before the three friends came from three countries? Would they have excused the three friends and watched them sit down for seven days? Would they be around and watch the friends heaping wrong accusations against their brother and not drive them away?

· How would Elihu claim to be upright and the reporter accuse Job for claiming to be upright (cp Job 32:1 to 33:3)?

· How would Elihu, a young boy, command an old man like Job, who was mourning the loss of his ten children and all that he had worked for in life, to stand up for him – Job 33:5?

· How would God declare someone to be the plainest and the most upright person on earth and someone come to accuse him that he drinks derision like water, and keeps company with evildoers and walks with wicked men? Whose report are we to believe – God’s or Elihu’s?

· Where, in all of Job’s speeches, did Job say, “A man gains nothing being in God’s good book”?

· Where, in the conversation, did Job condemn God?

· How would someone tell a person that God declared to be the plainest and most upright on earth, who is passing through trials, to say, “It is the punishment of my corrupt dealings – that I am bearing, I will stop forthwith.” Which corrupt dealings? Stop what? Stop uprightness?

· Which mercy does a man whom God declared to be plain and upright need again (Job 33:24)?

· Was Job on the path of hell at any time that God would direct that he be not allowed to go to hell (Job 33:24)?

· Where did Job say “I am more upright than God (Job 35;2) in all the conversation?

· Where, in all the conversation, did Job say “What do I gain, and, what benefit comes to me, that I stay away from sin”?

· Why would Elihu answer Job and his friends for what he claimed Job said?

· What evil deeds would a human being suffer from someone God declared to be the plainest and most upright on earth, who avoided evil?

· What justification had Elihu to say that God vented His anger on Job (Job 35:15)? Would God vent His anger on someone He boasted to Satan that he was the plainest and most upright on earth? That would be misrepresenting God!

· Was Elihu not speaking out of ignorance to say that God vented His anger on Job, when we all know that it was Satan who was afflicting Job? How come he claimed to be perfect in knowledge (Job 36:4)?

· Whose report do we believe – God boasted of Job that he was the plainest and most upright on earth (Job 1), Elihu said Job had done things deserving the judgment of evildoers (Job 36:17)?

· Would our God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, not do the right (Gen. 18:25)? For what would He punish Job to death (Job 36:18)? For his plainness and uprightness?

· Why would Elihu warn Job not to turn to evil (Job 36:21) when he already took him to be an evildoer?

· Can one have ten grown up children and not one of them is married?

· How on earth can someone accuse a person of sin, someone that the Bible says did not sin throughout all his trials, would not even blame God foolishly (Job 1:24), and that his wife could not persuade to curse God, even in the face of death (Job 2:9-10)?

· How come all the three friends of Job are traceable to the nations around Israel and down to the kindreds of Israel’s ancestors, and the four nations – Israel, Edom, Moab, and Ammon – jointly occupy the land of Uz? Interestingly, the four countries – Israel [descendants of Abraham through Jacob], Edom [descendants of Abraham through Esau], Moab [descendants of Lot, Abraham’s nephew, through his elder daughter], and Ammon [descendants of Lot, Abraham’s nephew, through his younger daughter] - feature mainly in the two historical books.

Finally, that Elihu (Job 34:35; 35:16), who has already been shown as representing Jesus or the church, and the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit (Job 38:2), summed up all that Job said as words without knowledge; that Job himself also acknowledged that all he spoke were words without knowledge (Job 42:3); and that the Self-existent declared that all that Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite, spoke were not right (Job 42:7), made all they said unquotable, and made the piece, titled Job, an allegory. In reality, it is a riddle or a proverb. That the person who wrote the highest number of riddles in the Bible, Ezekiel, was a son of Buzi (Ezekiel 1:3) like Elihu, the perfect in knowledge and mouthpiece of God, a descendant of Buzi (Job 32:2 and 6); that his possessions were exactly twice (from 7,000 to 14,000 sheep; 3,000 to 6,000 cames; 500 to 1,000 yoke of oxen; and 500 to 1,000 she asses) after the calamity; and that he lived double the lifespan of 70, fully shows this.

All these, coupled with the revelation that Satan did not go to heaven; that it was at one of the gatherings of the children of Israel – the people of the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit – in the city of the Peaceful [the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit] - Jerusalem - that he went on the two occasions, make it abundantly clear that the book was not written any time before the building of the holy dwelling (sanctuary) in the city of the Peaceful [the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit] - Jerusalem - by Solomon, and nullifies the assumption that the book was written before Moses.
