FROM Peter, an ambassador of Jesus the Anointed: To sojourners in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia,

chosen by the foreknowledge of the Self-existent, through spiritual cleansing – submission to, and sprinkling of the blood of, Jesus the Anointed – by God the Holy Spirit. Grace and peace be multiplied to you.

All praise to God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Anointed, who, by His great mercy, has made us to be born anew, bringing us into a living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus the Anointed from the dead;

for an inheritance that is imperishable, incorruptible and eternal, reserved in heaven for you

who are being guarded by the Power of God [the Self-existent - the Holy Spirit] through faith, in view of the deliverance that is ready to be revealed in the end time,

making you rejoice, even though, now, for a while - seeing that at times you may be in heaviness due to diverse temptations -

that the refining of your faith, something more valuable than gold which even after refining by fire will ultimately perish, would result to praise, honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus the Anointed,

whom, even though you did not see, you love; and though you have still not seen Him, you believe in Him and are rejoicing with inexpressible and glory-filled joy,

because you are receiving the reward of your faith — the rescue of your souls from perdition.

This rescue from perdition, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that would come to you searched and carefully investigated it.

They sought to know what exactly , or which time, the Spirit of the Anointed [the Self-existent - the Son of man] - the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit - who was with them was talking about when He predicted the suffering of Jesus the Anointed and the honor that would follow.

So, it was shown to them that the prophesies which are now being quoted by those who preached the good news to you, through the holy spirit [breath] - the breath of the Holy Spirit – put in us from heaven, was not meant for themselves. (This is something that, even, celestial-messengers would like to investigate.)

Therefore, get your minds ready for His coming , be self-disciplined

As obedient children, do not live your lives according to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance,

but as the One who called you is holy, you also are to be holy in all your conduct; 

it is written, “Be holy, because I am holy.”

If you also know that the Self-existent you call on is an impartial Judge, judging based on each one’s work, you should conduct yourselves with godly fear during the time of your temporal stay here,

knowing that you were not redeemed from your useless lifestyles inherited from your fathers, with perishable things like silver or gold, 

but with the precious blood of Jesus the Anointed, as of a lamb without defect or blemish. 

He was chosen before the idea of the world was conceived, but was revealed at the end of the ages for you 

who, through Him, are believers in God [the Self-existent], who raised Him from the dead and honored Him, so that your faith and hope are in God [the Self-existent].

Seeing that, through the holy spirit [breath] - the breath of the Holy Spirit - you have purified your souls, in obedience to the Truth [the Self-existent - the Son of man], see that you have sincere love of the brothers - love one another earnestly from a pure heart -

knowing that you were born again [given a second washing], not by decayable substance, but by undecayable, by the living and enduring word of God.

All flesh is like grass and its pomp like a flower of the grass. The grass withers and the flower drops off,

but the word of the Master remains forever. This is the word that was preached as the good news to you.
