CHAPTER 1

1

FROM Paul, who, by the command of God [the Self-existent] our Savior and of Jesus the Anointed, our hope, was made an ambassador  of Jesus the Anointed:

2

To Timothy, my true son in the faith. Grace, mercy and peace leftBracket symbol be multiplied to you rightBracket symbol   from God the Father [the Self-existent] and Jesus the Anointed, our Sovereign Master.

As I urged you, when I was going to Macedonia, to remain in Ephesus so that you may stop those who teach different doctrines.

5

The goal of the charge is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience and a sincere faith.

Some have deviated from this and turned aside to meaningless argumentation.

leftBracket symbol I rightBracket symbol  who was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor and an insolent man. But, because I acted out of ignorance in unbelief, I received mercy,

14

and the grace of our Sovereign Master, Jesus the Anointed, with faith and love that are in Him,  was poured out on me abundantly.

15

This saying is trustable and deserves full acceptance: Jesus the Anointed came into the world to rescue sinners from perdition  — and I am the worst of them.

16

But, so that, in me, the worst of them, Jesus the Anointed might demonstrate His extraordinary patience as an example to those who would believe in Him for eternal life, I received mercy.

17

To the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God be honor and glory forever and ever. (So be it.)

18

Timothy, my son, I am giving you this instruction in keeping with the prophetic utterances about you earlier, so that by them you may fight aright

and keep clear conscience with faith. Some have rejected these and have suffered the shipwreck of their faith.

Hymenaeus  and Alexander are among them — I have handed them over to Satan so that they may be taught not to blaspheme
