2 Peter 1
WET VERSION
CHAPTER 1
SIMON Peter, a servant and an ambassador of Jesus the Anointed: To those who have also obtained the precious faith through the impartiality of our God [the Self-existent] and of our Savior, Jesus the Anointed.
May grace and peace be multiplied to you because you know God [the Self-existent] and Jesus our Master,
seeing that His divine Power [Emissary] - the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit - has made available to us everything required for life and godliness because of the knowledge of the One [the Master, Jesus] who called us to dignity and greatness,
for which purpose we are given very great and precious promises, by which you may share in the divine nature, having been freed of the corruption that is in the world as a result of evil desires.
So, work assiduously to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge,
knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness,
godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.
If these are in you and are increasing, they will keep you from being barren and unproductive with all the knowledge of our Master, Jesus the Anointed, that you possess;
the person who lacks these things is blind and shortsighted. Also, the cleansing from his past sins has become a forgotten thing to him.
Therefore, brothers, work assiduously to consolidate your calling and election, as doing this rules out completely the chances of you falling into the trap of apostasy,
and guarantees you entry into the eternal kingdom of our Master, the Savior, Jesus the Anointed.
On my own part
, I will always remind you about these things, even though you know them and are grounded in the known truth.
So do I consider it proper, as long as I am in this tent called body, to gear you up with a reminder,
knowing that I will soon put it off, as our Master, Jesus the Anointed, has made clear to me.
I will also make every effort that you may always remember these things after my departure.
We did not follow cleverly contrived myths when we made known to you the power, and the coming, of our Master, Jesus the Anointed; we were eyewitnesses of His greatness.
He received honor and dignity from the Self-existent when the voice [the Self-existent’s voice] came to Him from inside the majestic Glory [the Self-existent’s Presence] - the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit: “This is My beloved Son. I take great delight in Him!”
We heard this same voice [the voice of the Self-existent] which came from heaven again while we were with Him on the sacred mountain.
More than that, we have something even surer — prophecies. So, you will do well to pay attention to prophecies as to a lamp shining in the night hours, until the day dawns, that is, until your entire heart is illuminated.
It is important to know this: No prophecy of scripture has any personal interpretation;
no prophecy ever came by the will of man; rather, holy men of God [the Self-existent] spoke as inspired by holy spirit[breath] - the breath of the Holy Spirit].
