2 Thessalonians 1
WET VERSION
CHAPTER 1
FROM Paul, Silvanus and Timothy: To the church – those under God our Father and the Self-existent [the Son of man], Jesus the Anointed – in Thessalonica.
Grace and peace be
multiplied
to you from God our Father and the Self-existent [the Son of man], Jesus the Anointed.
We need to always thank God [the Self-existent] for you, brothers, since your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing
so
much
that we ourselves boast about you among the churches of God [the Self-existent] – of your endurance and faith in all the persecutions and afflictions you suffer.
It is clear that that is how God [the Self-existent] deems it right, that you may be counted worthy of His kingdom for which you are suffering,
seeing it is proper for Him to pay back those who afflict you with affliction
and to give rest to you, and us, who are being afflicted, when the Self-existent [the Son of man], Jesus, shall be revealed in the sky with His mighty Emissary - the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit -
in flaming fire, to take vengeance on those who do not know God [the Self-existent] – those who do not obey the gospel of our Sovereign Master, Jesus the Anointed —
whose penalty will be everlasting destruction — banishment from the presence of the Self-existent, the Son of man, and His glorious Power [Emissary] - the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit -
on that day He comes to be honored by His saints and to be celebrated by all who believe. (It was our testimony that you believed.)
For this reason, we also pray constantly for you, that our God [the Self-existent] may count you worthy of His calling, and, that, through His Power [Emissary] - the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit - He may fulfil every good purpose of yours, and every striving of faith,
that the Holy Spirit, the Name [Emissary] of our Sovereign Master, Jesus the Anointed, may be glorified in you and you in Him, according to the grace of God [the Self-existent] and of our Sovereign Master, Jesus the Anointed.
