2 Timothy 1
WET VERSION
CHAPTER 1
FROM Paul, who it pleased God [the Self-existent] to make an ambassador of Jesus the Anointed, according to the promised life in Jesus the Anointed:
To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father [the Self-existent] and Jesus the Anointed, our Sovereign Master,
be multiplied to you
.
I thank God [the Self-existent] whom I serve with clear conscience as my ancestors did, that I do not cease to put you in my nights’ and days’ prayers.
Remembering the tears
you shed at our parting
always makes me to desire greatly to see you, that I may be filled with joy,
as I remember always the sincere faith that is in you. It was first in your grandmother, Lois, then, in your mother, Eunice, and now, I have no iota of doubt, in you.
This is why I am reminding you to keep ablaze the endowment of God [the Self-existent] that was imparted to you through the laying of my hands,
because God [the Self-existent] has not given us a mind of timidity, but one of power, love and self control.
So, do not be ashamed to testify about our Sovereign Master, or of me who is in prison for Him, but take your share of the suffering of the good news hinging on the power of God [the Self-existent]
who rescued us from perdition and called us with a holy calling – not based on our works, but according to his own purpose and grace. (This grace was shown to us through Jesus the Anointed before the idea of the world was conceived,
but is now being made evident through the incarnation of our Savior, Jesus the Anointed, who has abolished death and brought about life and immortality through the good news
for which I am appointed as a preacher, an ambassador and a teacher, to foreign nationals
and the reason I suffer these things and yet not ashamed, in that I know the One I believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep whatever I have entrusted to Him until that day).
Hold on to the sound doctrine that you have heard from me in regard to faith and love which comes about through Jesus the Anointed.
Keep, through holy spirit [breath] - the breath of the Holy Spirit - which abides in us, that good thing entrusted to you.
You know this: All in Asia have turned away from me, including Phygelus and Hermogenes.
May God [the Self-existent] grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus – he often refreshed me – he was not ashamed of my imprisonment.
When he was in Rome, he diligently searched for me and found me.
May the Self-existent [the Holy Spirit] make him to find mercy from the Self-existent, the Son of man, on that day. You know very well, also, how much he ministered to me at Ephesus.
