The Self-existent [the Almighty] will roar from Zion [Judah, the southern kingdom]; He will thunder from the city of the Peaceful One - Jerusalem, the hand symbolresidences of those herdsmen [people of Israel, the northern kingdom] will lament; the chiefest part - capital city - of Carmel [Israel, the northern kingdom] - Samaria - will be ashamed.

This is what the Self-existent [the Almighty] says: “Due to three sins of Damascus [capital city of Syria] - leftBracket symbolin realityrightBracket symbol, four - I will not let her go unpunished: They threshed hand symbolGilead [the region of Israel, the northern kingdom, east of the Jordan, formerly kingdoms of Sihon king of the Amorites and Og king of Bashan] with threshing instruments of iron.

I will send a fire to the house of Hazael [a king who reigned in Syria], it shall devour the palaces of Benhadad [a son, and successor of Hazael].

I will also pull down the gates of Damascus [capital city of Syria] and kill the people of the county of Aven [a city in Syria] and the ruler of the pleasant land [Hebrew – “eden”; Greek – “paradeisos” translated to “paradise.”] - Israel, the northern kingdom.  The people of Syria shall go to captivity in Kir.”

This is what the Self-existent [the Almighty] says: “Due to three sins of Gaza - leftBracket symbolin realityrightBracket symbol, four - I will not let her go unpunished: They carried a whole city captive, to deliver them to Edom [the country of the descendants of Esau, the twin brother of Jacob].

This is what the Self-existent [the Almighty] says: “Due to three sins of Tyrus - leftBracket symbolin realityrightBracket symbol, four - I will not let her go unpunished: They delivered up a whole city captive to Edom [the country of the descendants of Esau, the twin brother of Jacob] – they did not remember the covenant of brotherhood.

I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, it shall devour her palaces.”

This is what the Self-existent [the Almighty] says: “Due to three sins of Edom [the country of the descendants of Esau, the twin brother of Jacob] - leftBracket symbolin realityrightBracket symbol, four - I will not let her go unpunished: He pursued his brother with sword: He threw away pity, his anger burnt perpetually and he kept his wrath forever:

I will send a fire on the wall of Teman, it shall devour the palaces in Bozrah [a city in Edom].”

This is what the Self-existent says: “Due to three sins of Ammon [the country of the descendants of Lot, the nephew of Abraham, through his younger daughter]leftBracket symbolin realityrightBracket symbol, four - I will not let her go unpunished: They ripped up women with child in hand symbolGilead [the region of Israel, the northern kingdom, east of the Jordan, formerly kingdoms of Sihon king of the Amorites and Og king of Bashan] to enlarge their territory.

I will kindle a fire on the wall of Rabbah [the capital of the Ammonite kingdom], it shall devour her palaces with blowing of trumpets leftBracket symbolasrightBracket symbol in the time of battle, tempest and whirlwind.

Their king, with his princes,  shall go into captivity.”
