CHAPTER 1

1

IN the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, to fulfill what He said through Jeremiah, the Self-existent put it in the mind of King Cyrus to issue this proclamation throughout his entire kingdom and to put it in writing:

2

“The Self-existent, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and has appointed me to build Him a palace at the city of the Peaceful [the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit] - Jerusalem - in Judah.

3

Whoever among His people, who has his God [the Self-existent - the Holy Spirit] with him, should go to the city of the Peaceful [the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit] - Jerusalem - in Judah and build the palace of the Self-existent, the God of Israel, whose dwelling is in the city of the Peaceful [the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit] - Jerusalem

4

Let whoever is still alive, wherever he lives, be assisted by the men of that region with silver, gold, goods and livestock, along with a freewill offering for the palace of God in the city of the Peaceful [the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit] - Jerusalem.”

5

So, the family leaders of Judah and Benjamin, along with the priests and Levites – everyone whose mind God [the Self-existent - the Holy Spirit] has stirred up – prepared to go up and rebuild the palace of the Self-existent in the city of the Peaceful [the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit] - Jerusalem

6

All their brethren supported them with silver articles, gold, goods, livestock and valuables, in addition to all the freewill offering for the palace.

7

King Cyrus also brought out the articles of the palace of the Self-existent that Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the city of the Peaceful [the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit] - Jerusalem - and had placed in the shrine of his gods.

8

He had them brought out under the supervision of Mithredath, the treasurer, who counted them out to Sheshbazzar [Zerubbabel], the governor of Judah.

9

This was the inventory: Thirty gold basins, one thousand silver basins, twenty-nine silver knives,

10

thirty gold bowls, four hundred and ten various silver bowls, and one thousand other articles.

11

The gold and silver articles totalled five thousand, four hundred. Sheshbazzar brought all of them when the exiles came up from Babylon to the city of the Peaceful [the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit] - Jerusalem.
