Galatians 1

WET VERSION

CHAPTER 1

1

FROM Paul, an ambassador — not of men or by man, but by Jesus the Anointed, and handGod the Father [the Self-existent] who raised Him from the dead —

2

and all the brothers who are with me: To the churches of Galatia.

3

Grace leftBracket symbol be multiplied rightBracket symbol to you and peace from God the Father [the Self-existent] and our Sovereign Master, Jesus the Anointed,

4

who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,

5

to whom be glory forever and ever. (So be it.)

6

I am so suprised that you are so quickly turning away — from the One who called you by the grace of Jesus the Anointed — to a different gospel.

7

Not that there is, actually, another gospel,  some people are only troubling you, wanting to pervert the gospel of leftBracket symbol Jesus rightBracket symbol , the Anointed.

8

But, should leftBracket symbol any of us rightBracket symbol or a celestial-messenger, preach to you a gospel other than what we have preached to you, let a curse be on him!

9

I repeat: If anyone preaches to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let a curse be on him!

10

Am I now trying to win the favor of people or of God [the Self-existent]? Or, am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I should not be a servant of Jesus the Anointed.

11

I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel preached by me is not based on human reasoning —

12

I did not receive it from a human source and I was not taught it — it came by a revelation from Jesus the Anointed.

13

You, surely, have heard about my former way of life in Judaism: I persecuted God’s [the Self-existent’s] church to an extreme degree and tried to destroy it.

14

I advanced in Judaism beyond my contemporaries, because I was extremely zealous for the traditions of my ancestors.

15

But when God [the Self-existent], who, from my birth, set me apart and called me by His grace, was pleased

16

to reveal His Son in me, so that I could preach Him among foreign nationals, I did not immediately consult with anyone.

17

I did not go up to the habitation of prosperity - Jerusalem - to those who had become ambassadors before me, either; instead, I went to Arabia and returned to Damascus.

18

It was after three years that I went to the habitation of prosperity - Jerusalem - to get to know Cephas and I stayed with him fifteen days.

19

I did not see the other ambassadors except James, the Self-existent’s [the Son’s] brother.

20

All these that I write to you, I’m not lying. God [the Self-existent] is my witness.

21

Afterward, I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.

22

I did not have personal contact with the people under Jesus the Anointed - believers - in the region of Judah;

23

they simply kept hearing: “The person who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith he once tried to destroy.”

24

For this, they praised God [the Self-existent] on my behalf.
