The word of the Self-existent, which came to Micah, the Morasthite, during the reigns of Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah; the vision which he saw concerning Samaria [the chief city of Israel, the northern kingdom, west of the Jordan, southward] and the city of the Peaceful [the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit] - Jerusalem

HEAR, you people; listen, you lands and all who are there! Let the Sovereign God [the Self-existent] testify against you from His holy palace.

The Self-existent is coming from His place: He will come down and crush the shrines of the lands:

Mountains shall be melted under Him as wax before fire and dales shall split as if water is poured on the ground in a steep place.

This is all because of the transgression of Jacob [Judah, the southern kingdom]and the sins of the house of Israel [the northern kingdom]. Through where did sin infiltrate Jacob [Judah, the southern kingdom]? Is it not through Samaria [the chief city of Israel, a city south of Israel, the northern kingdom]? And through where did shrines enter Judah? Is it not through the habitation of prosperity - Jerusalem?

Therefore, I [the Self-existent - the Holy Spirit] will make Samaria a ruined land: I will distress her inhabitants and strip bare her rulers.

All graven images there shall be crushed and all the earnings from it shall be burnt with fire: I [the Self-existent - the Holy Spirit] will make all her idols an astonishment. She acquired them through the gifts she got  from prostitution, therefore, they shall be given back as payment to prostitutes.

For this reason, I [the Self-existent - the Holy Spirit] will wail and howl, I will go bare-footed and naked: I will make a wailing like dragons and mourning as the owls:

Her sore [the sore of Samaria – the chief city of Israel, the northern kingdom] is incurable; it has spread to Judah [the southern kingdom]; it has spread to the habitation of prosperity - Jerusalem - the city of My people.

Do not let it be heard in Gath [the land of the Philistines]; weep sore, humbled family [Judah], roll on the ground.

Be overrun, you inhabitants of the goodly land [Judah]; be greatly disgraced openly, inhabitants of the sheep pasture [Judah]. Come out for mourning, southern family [Judah, the southern kingdom]: He [the Self-existent] has moved away His domicile [residence – home] from you.

Though the inhabitants of the fountain of bitterness [Judah, the southern kingdom] waited prayerfully and patiently for the best, it was calamity that came from the Self-existent to the city, the habitation of prosperity - Jerusalem.

You inhabitants of Lachish [a region of Judah, the southern kingdom], bind the chariots to swift beasts in readiness to run: (She [Lachish] infected the dearest country, Zion [Judah, the southern kingdom] with sin, in that the sin of Israel [the northern kingdom] was discovered there.)

Therefore, part ways with the inhabitants of Gath [a city in Philistia]; the house of Achzib will betray the kings of Israel [the southern and northern kingdoms].

I [the Self-existent - the Holy Spirit] will still raise up a destroyer against you, inhabitants of Mareshah [a city of the Philistines]: He [the destroyer] shall come to Adullam [a royal city in Judah, the southern kingdom] the shining light of Israel [the southern and the northern kingdoms].

Shave yourselves and make yourselves bald as eagles, for your pleasant children shall go to captivity.
