Preliminary Note To The Wholly English Translation (WET)

However, it is pertinent to know that the Bible reveals two Personalities identified as YHWH in the First Testament. This is clearly evident in the speech by God [the Self-existent - the Invisible] when He paid a visit to Israel on mount Horeb (Please take particular note of the pronouns and the switch from first to third person pronoun and back):

And God spoke all these words, saying, 2I am YHWH thy Godwho have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3Thou shalt have no other gods before Me4Thou shalt not make unto thee any carved {graven} image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I, YHWH  thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me6And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me, and keep My commandments. 7Thou shalt not take the name of YHWH thy God in vain; for YHWH will not hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain. 8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: 10But the seventh day is the sabbath of YHWH thy God; in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11For in six days YHWH made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day; wherefore YHWH blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. 12Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long upon the land which YHWH thy God giveth thee. 22And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven. 23Ye shall not make with Me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold. 24An altar of earth thou shalt make unto Me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record My name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee. 25And if thou wilt make Me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it. 26Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto My altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.  (Exod. 20:1-12; 22-26, KJV modified)

Undoubtedly, two Personalities are identifiable in this passage: One came down on mount Horeb or Mount Sinai) and identified Himself as YHWH and addressed the people with first-person pronoun (Exod. 20:26), then He identified Another as YHWH their God, with third-person pronoun (Exod. 20:7-12), before He reverted to first-person – Exod. 20:22-26. To a casual reader, the two are one Being, but to the searching mind, they are two. “The Self-existent” who descended on the mount later revealed in Exod. 23:20-25 that the second YHWH is His Emissary (Please, realize that the word, “Angel,” is a Greek loanword. It is improper to have a Greek loanword in an English translation when the word has its English equivalent. Even if it does not have, if the word is properly understood, words can be formulated for it. The right English translation for the word in this instance is “Emissary.” Also, because all messengers – angels – are holy spirits, WET has chosen to call their Head, the Emissary of the Self-existent - the Self-existent [the Holy Spirit].):

I [the Self-existent - the Invisible] have appointed an Emissary over you to watch you as you go and to bring you to the place that I [the Self-existent - the Invisible] have made ready. 21Pay attention to Him and obey Him – do not provoke Him, He will not condone your rebellion, in that My name [attribute/authority] is in Him. 22If you will wholeheartedly obey Him and do all that I command, I will be enemy to your enemies and opposer to your opposers. 23My ?Emissary [the Self-existent - the Holy Spirit] is to lead you till you enter the leftBracket symbol land of rightBracket symbol the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites and Jebusites, and He will cut them off. 24You must not bow to their gods, or serve them: Do not imitate them. Rather, you are to overthrow them and break down their images completely. 25Serve the Self-existent, leftBracket symbol the Holy Spirit rightBracket symbol , your God and He will bless your bread and water. He will take away sickness from your midst. (WET)

Does that then mean there are more than one who are “the Self-existent”? Yes, the Bible reveals three: One, God [the Self-existent - the Invisible], ruling over heaven and earth, said to be the God or Possessor of heaven and earth (Gen. 14:19 & 22; 24:3; Acts 17:24) or the God of heaven (Gen. 24:7; Rev. 11:13; 16:11; 20:9; 21:2), identified as the Almighty (Gen. 17:1; 28:3; 35:11; 43:14; 48:3; 49:25; Exod. 6:3; Num. 24:4 & 16; Joel 1:15; 2 Cor. 6:18; Rev. 1:8; 4:8; 11:17; 15:3; 16:7 & 14; 19:15; and 21:22), the Highest (KJV – the Most High – Gen. 14:18:18-22; Num. 22:41; 24:16; Deut. 32:8; 2 Sam. 22:14; Dan. 3:26; 4:17-34; 5:18 & 21; 7:18-27; Hos. 7:16; 11:7; Mark 5:7; Luke 8:28; Acts 7:48; 16:17 and Heb. 7:1), the Ancient of Days (Dan. 7:9, 13 & 22), the One who is existing, was existing, and is to exist eternally (Rev. 1:4 & 8; 4:8), and the Indispensable and the Ultimate, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the Ending (Rev. 1:8; 21:6 & 22:13), who declared to Moses that no one can see Him and live (Deut. 33:20), of whom John and Jesus said no one has ever seen at any time (John 1:18; 6:46) and whom Paul categorically declared to be invisible (Col. 1:15; 1 Tim. 1:17 and Heb. 11:27); whose likeness or image Jesus bore. He is not only identified uniquely, His appearance is described uniquely – as a thick darkness or thick cloud or “horror of great darkness” (KJV) – Gen. 15:12; Exod. 4:11; 5:22; 10:22; 19:9 & 16; 20:21; Joel 2:2; Job 22:14; Zeph. 1:15. He is the One Jesus introduced to us as “the Father” (Matt. 6:9) and introduced to us by Pastor E. A. Adeboye as “Daddy.” Two, the Self-existent [the Holy Spirit], His Emissary - the God of the earth or the God of the whole earth (Josh. 3:11 & 13; Ps. 97:5; Is. 54:15; Mic. 4:13; Zech. 6:5; Rev. 11:4), who always told Israel, “I am YHWH your God (Lev. 19:10, 34; 25:17), who is identified as the Mighty (Gen. 2:4-3:23; Ps. 50:1), and the Rock (Deut. 32:4, 15, 18, 30 & 31; 2 Sam. 23:3), who appears severally in human form, and whose appearance in the air in the daytime is described as “cloud” or “cloudy pillar,” and in the nighttime as “pillar of fire” or “fire” in KJV (Exod. 13:21 & 22; 14:19-24; 33:9 & 10) and called the Glory of the Self-existent [the Invisible], or the Emissary of the Self-existent [the Invisible], and declared that He was appointed over Israel in Zechariah (Zech. 4:9; 6:15), as well as to fight the nations who fought Israel in Zech. 2:8. Three, the Self-existent [the Son of man], the Son of the Self-existent [the Invisible] or the Emissary of the Self-existent [the Invisible], who is the Savior of the world (John 3:16) and the Head of the church (Matt. 16:18; Eph. 1:22; 5:23; Col. 1:18; Rev. 2:1; 22:16) also identified as Mighty God (Is. 9:6), and called “Wonderful,” “Counsellor,” “Everlasting Prince,” and “Prince of peace,” who came in the flesh in human form. The Bible reveals with utmost clarity that God [the Self-existent - the Invisible] appointed both the Self-existent [the Holy Spirit] and the Self-existent [the Son of man] as self-existent Beings over Israel and the church respectively. Concerning the Self-existent [the Holy Spirit], He says in Exod. 23:20-25, “I [the Self-existent - the Invisible] have appointed an Emissary over you to watch you as you go and to bring you to the place that I [the Self-existent - the Invisible] have made ready. Pay attention to Him and obey Him – do not provoke Him, He will not condone your rebellion, in that My name [attribute/authority] is in Him. If you wholeheartedly obey Him and do all that I command, I will be enemy to your enemies and opposer to your opposers. My Emissary is to lead you till you enter the leftBracket symbol land of rightBracket symbol the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites and Jebusites, and He will cut them off. You must not bow to their gods, or serve them: Do not imitate them. Rather, you are to overthrow them and break down their images completely. Serve the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit [My Emissary], your God and He will bless your bread and water. He will take away sickness from your midst” (WET). As the Self-existent in their midst, He commanded them to obey Him - Exod. 23:21. And concerning Jesus, the Bible says, in Acts 2:36 and Phil. 2:11; “God [the Self-existent - the Invisible] has made [appointed] the same Jesus whom you crucified, both the Self-existent and the Anointed” and “every tongue should confess before the Glory of God [the Self-existent - the Invisible] – the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit – that Jesus the Anointed is self-existent” (WET). He did not merely appoint Him as the Self-existent in the church, He commanded the church to obey Him (Matt. 17:5) as He commanded Israel to obey the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit - Exod. 23:21. That the Hebrew word, YHWH, translated to “LORD” with uppercase letters in KJV is the word translated to “Kurios” in Greek is evident in many First Testament references quoted in the Final, for example, Matt. 4:7 and 10; 5:33; 22:37 and 44.

As God [the Self-existent - the Invisible] gave the Self-existent [the Holy Spirit] to Israel as His Emissary (Exod. 23:20-25), He gave Jesus to the church as His Emissary (John 10:36) and the Head (the Self-existent) over the church (Eph. 1:22). Upon leaving the earth, Jesus then gave the Self-existent [the Holy Spirit] to the church as His Emissary (John 14 to 16). (Remember: The word, “Angel,” is a Greek loanword; the accurate English translation is celestial-messenger or emissary, depending on the spirit in reference. Their head, shown in all cases as belonging to God or the LORD [KJV] is distinguished with uppercase letter, “C,” or identified as the Emissary of God or of the LORD [the Self-existent – WET], or as LORD.)

The contracted form of YHWH, JAH, carries the same meaning as YHWH. Accordingly, in WET, it is translated to “God” or “the Sovereign Ruler.” The third, a variation of YHWH, pronounced “yeh-ho-vee” and translated to “GOD” in KJV with uppercase letters, placed after “adonay” — specifically used to identify God [the Self-existent - the Invisible] — is translated to “Sovereign God.”

With the identifier now appearing the same way in both testaments – the First and the Final – the Bible is clearly presented as one book by one Deity. The revelation of the accurate translation of the identifier now serves as the unifier of the two testaments, revealing the Giver of the two testaments, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, as the Self-existent. Due to scores of references where two of them are in reference in one sentence, e.g.,

Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.

And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.

- Exod. 9:1, 5, 12 (KJV)

And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

– Exod. 16:23 (KJV)

And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them.

- Exod. 19:24

The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

– Ps. 110:1 (KJV)

WET has differentiated them as below:

a)      Except where it is very necessary for identification/differentiation, the Self-existent, the Invisible, is written as “the Self-existent.”

b)      His Emissary to Israel and the church is identified with parenthesis: “The Self-existent [the Holy Spirit] or “the Self-existent, the Holy Spirit.

c)      His Son, our Sovereign Master, is identified as “the Self-existent [the Son of man]” or “the Self-existent, the Son of man.”
